It will be fun to look at the city from top of the tower. Why not? It's a few steps away from The Vertigo Theatre,  where I performed for the weekend. I walked up to the elevator.


The tower is 626 ft high. Hard to imagine! All I can say is that the height reminded me helicopter ride once I had. You are looking down all the sky scrapers.


The tower has 360 degree view with glass floor.

 I didn't know much about Calgary except Olympic 1988. If I had more time, I'd have gone for sightseeing.

The color stood out!


What are they talking?

Cafe DeVille was a block before the theatre and when I have extra time, I sat for a cup of cappuccino.


Though Calgary is a modern city, I saw nice old buildings and cathedrals.


Finally my walk is over.  The Vertigo Theatre where my shows are, locates in the heart of Calgary downtown . From my hotel it took about 12 blocks, about 2 miles of enjoyable walk.


The city is filled with art objects among skyscrapers.


Not to get lost I had this sign to mark. Well, it's not my hotel but it was across the street from mine. I called it honey comb.


Calgary is near mountain and snowy city. Day after day I had a great time with my audience at this vibrant Vertigo Theatre. I was impressed with young ones who came to public shows. You had a great theatre manners!! The Vertigo Theatre Y Stage producer, Nathan Pronyshyn, announced that the city of Calgary is now chosen to be the cultural capital of Canada 2012. You deserve that crown!

I had a great October show tours, Kansas&gt;&gt;&gt; Denver &gt;&gt;&gt; Ontario Canada.

Kansas had big prairie toward west where I was driving to Denver. Above the little shack caught my heart. Can I sit inside, on a stack of hey and read mid-west folk tales and Carl Sandburg poems? Or can I bring my friend in, chat about everything, play some games and forget the time?

 I said 'we', it was a team effort with the teachers. Louanne Hein, So Choi and Tara who just had a baby (hooray!) wrote a grant to their school district and made it happen. Teachers conducted pre-visit-lesson-plans and when I entered each school, I saw Sumi-e, Japanese paint brushing and Gyataku, fish prints, on the walls. He's one of the top runners to the modern Origami. Many years ago at origami convention I saw his origami beetle. The details were unbelievable and it took me a while to believe this was only from a sheet of paper.

The Tilles Cneter for the Performing Arts is nested in Long Island University. 

The glass front building was modern look to it. Hillwood Recital Hall was in the back and there were 400 seats and a good size approxmately 12' by 10'...I think. 45 minutes drive from Savannah airport and it seemed a small town but the college offers big dreams. I met 3 graduate students who works for The Multicultural Student Center, with Ms.Consuela Ward, the director. They gave me ground transportation and lots of help. I enjoyed listening to their dream with Master Degree they are earning.

Teachers of Kansas City gathered to 'Fold and Unfold', Origami &amp; Storytelling workshop. I shared a brief history and a future ideas of paper folding, performed some of my origami storytelling and we folded origami whale and (flapping) crane. We brainstormed curriculum connection activities and lesson plans, then could not wait to try out in classroom.

I've been enjoying Cajun music and food. A question came to me. What is 'Cajun'?  Then, what is 'Acadian'?  The word is everywhere, on street signs, on paper, on the billboard and on TV. I found some answers online.

Charter school concept is very unique and significant. The school program is up to the school's theme&amp;policies and I'm eager to learn the system. After the 2 days of snow day Wake county announced another snow day but St.Raphael School is on! The road looks good and I'm on!


Bravo to grade K-8, all age mixed group audience! Then the Wake County announced snow day for Monday and Tuesday = my shows are not happening and I'm really snowed in!

There have been several books published for money fold and this book is my favorite. Each design has distinctive fold to make the best of dollar bill prints. I was in Osaka Japan, my hometown, to see my mother at the end of September. It was in the middle of Autumn, moon-viewing season or Otsuki-mi. In Japan we say there're rabbits in the moon.
